RunAway Slave is an American Hip Hop group consisting of Legacy, Toe-Boy, Sabuu, Scan, and the Minister Of Defense.....God's Child. Formed in Los Angeles, California in 2000, they are known for their politically charged music and criticism of the American media, with an active interest in the frustrations and concerns of the African American community. RunAway Slave makes contributions to the hip-hop world with sonic experimentation as well as political and cultural consciousness, which infuses itself into skilled and poetic rhymes. RunAway Slave holds a strong, pro-black, political stance.
